Meet The Authors
Best known for his work in mysteries, Hy was one of the original writers for the ground-breaking series, Monk, working on the show for all eight seasons, the final two as Co-Executive Producer. In a related project, Hy served as Executive Producer and head writer of Little Monk, a series of short films featuring Adrian Monk as a ten-year-old. His most recent TV work was as a writer/ consulting producer for the USA Network’s White Collar. Hy is the author of ten books of short whodunits, aimed at both young and older readers, which have been translated into thirteen languages and included in many anthologies. Other projects include “Clue VCR”, “Nancy Drew Online” and dozens of other mystery-related games, short stories and interactive films. Hy is currently working on the second novel in his “Abel Adventures” mystery series, published by Seven Realms.
Jeff has spent most of his working life in advertising agencies, currently as General Manger of Cramer-Krasselt in New York City. He is the author of The Hourglass Solution: A Boomer’s Guide to the Rest of Your Life and co-authors (with Paula Forman) a national online advice column called “Short Answers,” which also appears in newspapers in Massachusetts, New York and Florida. Jeff lives in New York and Key West with his partner and two miniature schnauzers.

Dean has created award-winning ads for Volvo, Perdue, Nikon, BASF, Castrol, HBO, Yellow Tail, Burlington Coat Factory and Benjamin Moore. He founded Hampel/Stefanides with Larry Hampel and together they are currently Co-Executive Creative Directors at Cramer-Krasselt in New York City. Dean resides in New York City with his wife, seven dogs (really) and two cats.
